
Mark King
President - Civil Aerospace
Mark King joined Rolls-Royce in 1986 and became President - Civil Aerospace in September 2007.
Prior to this appointment he was Chief Commercial Officer - Civil Large Engines.
Previously, Mark was President & CEO of IAE International Aero Engines AG based in East Hartford, Connecticut, USA. IAE is a joint venture between Rolls-Royce, Pratt & Whitney of the USA, MTU of Germany and JAEC of Japan.
The IAE appointment followed other positions in the Civil Aerospace division of Rolls-Royce including Executive Vice President - Customer Business, Senior Vice President, Aftermarket and Senior Vice President, North Asia. Earlier in his career, he also held positions in engineering and manufacturing.
Furthermore, he has been a board member of Rolls-Royce overhaul joint ventures (TAESL in Texas and HAESL in Hong-Kong).
Mainly educated in Windsor, England, Mark has also lived in Australia, Switzerland and the USA. He gained a Mathematics degree from St. Johns College, Cambridge University.
Mark was born in England and is married with 2 daughters. He enjoys sports (playing and watching) and has a general interest in aviation.
