Charles Blundell
Director of Public Affairs

Charles Blundell is Director of Public Affairs, with responsibility for all the Company's communications, including with employees, the media, Governments and other stakeholders. He joined Rolls-Royce plc in May 1993 as Director of Government Relations and served as Company Secretary from 1995 to 2007. He became a member of the Group Executive in 2003.

Charles was educated at Bradfield College, Berkshire, Universite D'Aix-en-Provence and Corpus Christi College, Oxford.

He joined the Civil Service in 1974 as an administration trainee and worked in a range of government departments, including the former Department of Trade & Industry.

Mr Blundell is married with one daughter and his interests include horse riding, opera, history and travel.
