Andrew Shilston
Finance Director

Andrew Shilston joined Rolls-Royce plc in 2002 and became Finance Director in January 2003, when he was also appointed to the Board. Before joining Rolls-Royce, Andrew was Finance Director of Enterprise Oil.

Andrew attended Oxford University, where he received a MA in Engineering Science in 1977, and then trained as an accountant before joining BP as a financial analyst.

In 1983 there followed a brief period as a Financial Planning Manager with the health care company Abbott Laboratories before joining Enterprise Oil in 1984 as Corporate Accounting Manager. He became Deputy Group Treasurer in 1987 and Group Treasurer in 1989. He joined the board of Enterprise Oil as Finance Director in 1993.

He was a non-executive director of AEA Technology plc from 1996 to 2004. In November 2004 he was appointed non-executive director of Cairn Energy plc.

He is a member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers and of the Institution of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Andrew is married with three teenage children.
