Miles A Cowdry
President - Services

Miles Cowdry was appointed Director - Services at Rolls-Royce plc in May 2004 and became President - Services in February 2007. He is responsible for the development and implementation of a company-wide strategy for services underpinned by an efficient service supply chain.

Formerly, Miles was President and CEO of Data Systems & Solutions (DS&S), a joint venture between Rolls-Royce and SAIC. DS&S addresses the aerospace, defence, marine and energy sectors providing asset management and plant optimisation solutions.

Prior to joining DS&S Miles was General Manager Business Development for Rolls-Royce where he focused on the development of the company’s aftermarket strategy.

Miles’ background is in finance, having spent ten years with Bankers Trust Company. He left Bankers Trust in 1990 to be part of the management team that established Rolls-Royce & Partners Finance.

Miles was educated at Woodbridge School, Suffolk and Trinity College, Oxon where he read Philosophy, Politics and Economics. Miles is married with three children.
